I founded Lavish Leaf from a belief that flowers are far more than decoration. They have the power to influence how a space feels, how people connect, and how moments are remembered.

Today, Lavish Leaf is a floral design studio creating botanical environments for celebrations, hospitality spaces, workplaces, and cultural experiences. Our work is informed by art, architecture, interiors, and the natural world - bringing together thoughtful composition, seasonal beauty, and a deep understanding of atmosphere. While flowers are our medium, the experience they create is always the greater purpose. 

THE JOURNEY

My creative journey began long before florals.

With a background in interior design, I developed an appreciation for scale, proportion, light, and the emotional impact of a well-designed environment. That foundation expanded through years in the luxury beauty industry, where I worked with internationally recognized brands, backstage at New York Fashion Week, and alongside clients who understood the value of craftsmanship, detail, and presentation.

Those experiences taught me that design is never simply about what people see. It is about what they feel.

Over time, floral design became the natural intersection of those disciplines. It allowed me to combine my passion for art, interiors, color, texture, and human connection into a living medium capable of transforming a space in an instant.

Since founding Lavish Leaf, our work has expanded from private celebrations to hospitality environments, public installations, cultural experiences, editorial collaborations, and community-centered projects throughout North Carolina and beyond.

Our work has been featured through collaborations with the North Carolina Museum of Art, Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, and Black August in the Park, as well as coverage by WRAL and The New York Times during Art in Bloom.

THE PHILOSOPHY

Every space holds a story.

Rather than beginning with flowers, we begin with the environment itself. We study the architecture, the purpose of the gathering, the movement of people, the quality of light, and the experience we hope to create.

From there, flowers become a design language.

Our work blends artistic restraint with organic movement, creating compositions that feel intentional, layered, and alive. Inspired by fine art, fashion, interiors, and nature, we design florals that complement a space rather than compete with it.

The result is work that feels deeply personal while remaining timeless.
