Featured on WRAL — Art in Bloom at the North Carolina Museum of Art
This season, Lavish Leaf Floral Design Studio was honored to be featured by WRAL during coverage of Art in Bloom at the North Carolina Museum of Art.
Art in Bloom continues to be one of the region’s most celebrated exhibitions — bringing together floral designers and artists in a dialogue between botanicals, fine art, and immersive interpretation. To have our work highlighted as part of that conversation was an incredibly meaningful moment for our studio.
Our installation was created as an interpretation inspired by the work of Jean Hélion, exploring movement, abstraction, structure, and atmosphere through sculptural botanical forms and layered texture. Designed to feel expressive yet intentional, the piece invited florals to function not simply as decoration, but as an artistic medium in conversation with the original composition.
Being featured by WRAL offered an opportunity to share not only the installation itself, but also the deeper philosophy behind our work — that floral design has the ability to transform how people experience space, emotion, and storytelling.
We are deeply grateful to the North Carolina Museum of Art, WRAL, and everyone who continues to support and champion the arts throughout our region.
Projects like Art in Bloom continue to inspire us to push the boundaries of floral artistry and create work that exists at the intersection of design, culture, interiors, and experience.
